وهناك كاتب يهودى يحاول، على طريقة لويس عوض، أن ينكر قِدَم العرب في التاريخ فيقول إن اسم"بلاد العرب"لا يرجع إلى أبعد من ألف سنة قبل الميلاد، بيد أنه سرعان ما يخونه لسانه فيضيف أنه إذا كنا لا نستطيع الحديث عن العرب في العصور القديمة، فمن الممكن مع ذلك الحديثُ عن أسلافهم. وهذا ما نقصده بالضبط، إذ ليس المعوَّل على التسميات، بل على حقائق الأشياء، أما الأسماء فمعروف أنها تتغير من وقت إلى آخر. وقد ورد هذا الكلام في مقال بعنوان:"Origin and Identity of the Arabs"يستطيع القارئ أن يجده في موقع"www.imninalu.net". وهذا نص ما قال:"It seems that the name"Arabia"was applied to the whole peninsula only around the first century b.c.e., as defined by Diodorus of Sicily in his"Bibliotheca Historica"and by Strabo in his"Geography", yet it is rather a geographic definition, not closely related with the actual ethnicity of the inhabitants, whom they declare to be of several kinds and call them by their own tribal names. Arabs are the most recent of all Semitic peoples according to their appearance in history. In fact, it is not possible to speak about Arabs in ancient times, but only about their ancestors".
